Every position comes from Astrolize’s own calculation engine, verified against JPL Horizons across 1900–2050 — planetary longitudes agree to about two arc-seconds worst case, exact at chart display precision. Historical charts respect the IANA timezone database, including local-mean-time offsets from before standard time existed.

No. Astrolize is a one-time purchase on the Mac App Store. Every feature is included, and updates through the 1.x series are free.
What does it run on?
macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later. Astrolize is built with Swift and SwiftUI as a fully native Mac app — not a port and not a web wrapper.
Where does my data live?
On your Mac. Charts are stored in a local, sandboxed database. There is no account, no cloud sync and no telemetry — the app works entirely offline.
Which calculations does it support?
Astrolize’s own calculation engine, verified against JPL Horizons, drives every position: 9 house systems, tropical and sidereal zodiacs (Lahiri, Fagan-Bradley, Krishnamurti), geocentric, heliocentric and topocentric coordinates, and 11 aspect types with configurable per-aspect orbs.
Can I import my charts from Solar Fire?
Astrolize imports and exports its own .astrochart format today; direct Solar Fire import is on the post-1.0 roadmap. Re-entering a chart is fast — type a city and the atlas fills coordinates and the historically correct timezone.
Are interpretations included?
Yes — point-and-click interpretations on any chart element, plus full natal, transit and synastry reports exportable to PDF, RTF and plain text.
How do refunds work?
Purchases go through Apple. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, subject to App Store policy.
